Job summary

Talkdesk is seeking a Senior Forward Deployed Engineer to lead production-grade AI agent deployments for strategic enterprise customers. You will own architectural designs, oversee end-to-end delivery, and ensure security and scalability across complex environments.

You will work hands-on with APIs/SDKs, mentor junior engineers, and influence product direction while delivering measurable customer value in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years in software or solution engineering, with 1+ year focus on architecting and deploying AI/ML/Agentic solutions.
• Experience in large-scale IT integration projects, ERP projects or AI implementations with client-side project leadership.
• Proven experience in AI agent system architecture, including planning, memory, and tool-use frameworks.
• Proficiency in Javascript, Python, and Typescript with focus on secure, scalable production code.

Responsibilities

• Act as the technical lead for complex deployments, designing architectural blueprints for AI agent solutions and ensuring enterprise-scale security and performance.
• Write production-grade code and leverage APIs/SDKs to design, build, test, and deploy AI agents from prototype to production.
• Serve as a trusted technical expert, mitigating risk and aligning with customer engineering leaders.
• Synthesize deployment learnings into reusable patterns and provide feedback to product/engineering teams.
• Mentor junior engineers on best practices for AI architecture, production quality, and client-facing delivery.
