Job summary

Samsara is seeking a Senior Data/AI Engineer to shape the Marketing Data & Analytics (MDA) engineering roadmap and architect the data foundation powering AI and self-serve analytics. You’ll build core pipelines, semantic models, and data products, enabling targeted marketing insights and automation.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, or AI engineering.
• Expert-level Python and SQL with strong data modeling.
• Deep experience with data warehouse and lakehouse architectures and ETL/ELT.

Responsibilities

• Define strategy and multi-quarter roadmap for MDA's data and AI foundation.
• Architect and own marketing data infrastructure: ETL/ELT pipelines and Databricks Gold Layer.
• Design semantic layers and documentation for self-serve BI and AI ingestion.
• Translate business questions into scalable data products and automated workflows.
• Lead cross-team data initiatives end-to-end and mentor engineers/analysts.
• Drive AI usage to build AI-enabled data products and agents.
• Automate manual workflows with AI across Marketing and GTM teams.
