Job summary

CGS Federal (Contact Government Services) seeks an experienced Agile Coach to guide a federal agency’s agile transformation. You will coach executives, managers, product owners, Scrum Masters, and teams to implement SAFe, DevSecOps, and lean practices across large IT programs.

The role emphasizes hands-on mentoring, cross-team planning, and evolving the enterprise Agile roadmap. A strong coaching background and DevSecOps familiarity are essential for success in a complex government environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of practical Agile experience.
• Strong understanding of Agile concepts with an emphasis on SAFe (Scrum, Kanban, Product Ownership).
• Hands-on organizational change agent experience across multiple teams.
• Experience with launching Agile Release Trains and building a Continuous Delivery Pipeline.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the Agile transformation for multiple teams at both team and program level.
• Facilitate team workshops to teach Agile/Lean principles and roles.
• Lead creation and delivery of Agile training for government stakeholders and contractors.
• Provide ongoing Agile coaching for new teams across iterations.
• Mentor Scrum Masters and Product Owners.
• Help teams set up boards, workflows, and automated reporting.
• Evolve the Agile Maturity Assessment model and report findings.
• Provide feedback on processes and tooling to support Agile transformation.
• Coordinate cross-team planning workshops and agile communities of practice.
• Update organization-wide Agile artifacts and methodology documentation.
• Advance the Agile Transformation Roadmap with recommendations.
• Embed an agile culture across the enterprise.
• Track project metrics to identify and address risks and issues.
• Coach multiple high-performing Agile development teams and large-scale programs across the enterprise.
