Blue Origin seeks an experienced engineer to lead loads analysis for launch vehicles, focusing on Coupled Loads Analysis (CLA) development and execution. You will document results for various customers and refine finite element models, with emphasis on cross-discipline collaboration and data-driven decision making.

Qualifications include a BS in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering and 5+ years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in Mechanical or Aerospace engineering.
• 5+ years of relevant engineering experience.
• Passion for aerospace vehicle structural loads and related analysis.
• Finite Element Modeling experience.
• NASTRAN and MATLAB proficiency.
• Ability to solve static and dynamic structural problems using physics-based analytical methods.
• Ability to process and present data for engineering applications.
• Commitment to inclusion and trust within a team.

Responsibilities

• Launch vehicle Coupled Loads Analysis (CLA) development and execution with cross-discipline inputs.
• Document CLA results for internal, government, and commercial customers.
• Develop/refine Finite Element Models and correlate to modal tests.
• Reduce FEM using Component Modal Synthesis methods (e.g., Craig-Bampton).
• Develop mathematical models and simulations for loads analysis.
• Manage large datasets and post-process data for engineering applications.
• Perform other loads tasks as required.
