Job summary

Blue Origin in Huntsville, AL seeks an experienced Structural Loads Engineer to advance Coupled Loads Analysis for launch vehicles. You will develop CLA inputs, run cross-discipline analyses, and document results for internal and external customers.

The role requires 8+ years in aerospace loads, proficiency with NASTRAN and MATLAB, FE modeling, and the ability to manage large data sets. Clear communication of complex results and strong ownership are essential in our fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in Mechanical or Aerospace engineering; 8+ years of relevant engineering experience.
• Experience with loads analysis, finite element modeling, and validation against tests.

Responsibilities

• Launch vehicle CLA development and execution with cross-discipline inputs/outputs.
• Documentation and communication of CLA results for internal, government, and commercial customers.
• FE Model development/refinement, validation, and correlation to modal tests.
• FE Model reduction using Component Modal Synthesis (e.g., Craig-Bampton).
• General loads development for launch vehicles and related ground systems.
• Development of mathematical models and simulations for loads analysis.
• Management of large datasets and post-processing for engineering applications.
