Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking an experienced CAD Engineer to join the Lunar Permanence team in Los Angeles. You will develop the Transfer Stage Vehicle CAD layouts, create detail parts and assemblies, and release data using CAD/PLM tools.

Minimum qualifications include an Associate degree in CAD & Design and 4+ years in aerospace; proficiency with Creo Parametric, Windchill, and GD&T (ASME Y14.5) is required. You will work on large assemblies within a safety‑driven culture.

Qualifications

Associate degree in Computer Aided Drafting & Design.
4+ years of experience in aerospace development or similar.
Proficiency in drawing generation and release processes using Creo Parametric and Windchill.
Proficiency in standard fits, tolerance stacks, and GD&T analysis (ASME Y14.5).
Experience managing large assemblies is a plus.

Responsibilities

Preparing design layouts, creating detail part and assembly drawings/MBDs, and releasing data sets using CAD and PLM tools.
Reviewing engineering drawings to ensure alignment to specifications and standards.
Supporting engineering teams with mechanical layout and detail design for parts and assemblies.
Applying company techniques to plan, layout, and maintain data depicting engineering designs.
Implementing standard methodologies to balance cost, schedule and performance.
