Job summary

Blue Origin in the Greater Seattle Area is seeking a Mechanical Designer III to contribute to the Lunar Permanence program. You will prepare design layouts, create detailed part and assembly drawings, and release data sets using Creo and PLM tools on the Transfer Stage Vehicle.

The role requires an associate degree in CAD and 4+ years in aerospace, with proficiency in GD&T, tolerances, and managing large CAD assemblies.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in CAD or related field, 4+ years aerospace experience.
• Proficiency with Creo Parametric and Windchill for drawings and data release.
• Strong understanding of GD&T and tolerance analysis (ASME Y14.5).
• Experience managing large CAD assemblies, BOMs, and data sets.
• Experience designing spacecraft primary/secondary structure and mounting hardware.

Responsibilities

• Prepare design layouts, create detail parts and assemblies, and release data using CAD/PLM tools.
• Review drawings to ensure alignment with specs and standards.
• Support engineering teams with mechanical layout and design of structural parts.
• Apply standard methodologies to balance cost, schedule, and performance.
