Job summary

AeroVironment, Inc. is seeking a Senior Contracts Manager in Dayton, OH to lead bid and contract processes for complex aerospace projects.

You will partner with legal, finance, procurement, and engineering to streamline workflows, manage risks, and drive successful contract execution throughout the lifecycle. The role requires deep knowledge of Federal/International regulations, FAR/DFAR/OTA frameworks, and a track record of negotiating diverse contract types.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in Business Administration or related field.
• Significant experience in DoD/Federal prime government contract administration/management.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written, verbal) and ability to work cross-functionally.

Responsibilities

• Work with Operations, Contracts, Sales, Strategy, Marketing, Finance, and Legal on bid, proposal, contract negotiation, review and administration for products and services.
• Manage contract lifecycle tasks including proposal review, post-award negotiations, modifications, close-outs, and program support for complex, multi-year contracts.
• Draft, evaluate and negotiate NDAs, Sales/Purchase Agreements, Subcontracts, Consulting, License and Master Agreements; include FAR/DFAR/OTA contexts.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and company policies; monitor performance and analyze contract obligations for stakeholders.
• Coordinate flow-downs of terms with program management, engineering, finance, quality, supply chain, manufacturing, and other functions.
• Liaise with DCMA and other audit bodies; lead internal and external audits as needed.
• Maintain accurate contract files, correspondences, changes, and amendments; oversee data in business systems and reporting.
