Job summary

The University of Louisville's Kent School of Social Work and Family Science seeks an Admissions Counselor III to manage admissions for programs ranging from BSW to PhD. You will attend events, follow up on leads, and assist applicants with completing their applications, transferring them to the right program for admission decisions.

The role requires collaboration with marketing and university offices, significant travel to in-state events, and evening/weekend work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 4 years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Master’s degree preferred for advanced recruitment responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Advise students on admissions procedures and policies via in-person interactions, phone and email.
• Review initial application materials prior to transfer to the specific program.
• Assist in processing program applications as needed.
• Develop and review marketing materials and ensure all application materials are up-to-date.
• Collaborate with marketing and university offices on recruitment strategies.
• Create and maintain recruitment databases and run periodic queries.
• Prepare reports on prospective students and application data.
• Lead information sessions for prospective students (virtual and in-person).
• Attend recruitment events and career fairs to reach prospective students.
• Coordinate communications within the admissions team and with program personnel.
