Job summary

The University of Louisville is seeking an Admissions Counselor I to recruit and enroll adult students pursuing a bachelor’s degree. You will build relationships with prospective adult students, guide them through admissions and financial aid processes, and represent the university at events and information sessions.

You will work with admissions, financial aid, and student services teams to ensure a seamless enrollment experience from inquiry to enrollment, including local and regional travel

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Customer service experience and strong communication skills.
• Experience with CRM systems and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Serve as University’s project Graduate college advocate, including work with adult returner population.
• Coordinate degree checks with applicants and advise students on routes to degrees.
• Assist in strategies targeted at re-enrollment of stop-out students.
• Advise, counsel, and inform prospective students, parents and others seeking information about the University.
• Serve as counselor on call several times per month.
• Assist with review and admission decisions of applications, transfer, readmitted and petition students.
• Assist with outreach and recruitment efforts to prospective adults and transfer students.
• Coordinate and participate in off-campus, on-campus and virtual programs to introduce prospective students to the campus and University facets.
• Assist with the Osher Reentry scholarship and maintain contact with applicants regarding missing materials and deadlines.
• Assist prospective students with pre-evaluation of transfer work.
• Assist in the Comeback Cards Program acceptance and related activities.
• Assist Donovan Scholars with admission and enrollment.
