Job summary

Randstad USA is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our finance team in Chicago. You will manage day-to-day vendor invoice processing and reconcile statements, ensuring timely disbursements and accurate GL coding.

Responsibilities include 3-way matching, payment runs (ACH, wires, checks, cards), and vendor record maintenance. A Bachelor’s degree and 2–3 years AP experience are preferred. Open to 8 AM–5 PM shifts with a 30-day posting window.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of hands-on accounts payable or general accounting experience.
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration preferred.
• Proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, pivots).

Responsibilities

• Process, code, and match high-volume vendor invoices using 3-way matching (invoice, PO, receiving report).
• Review invoices for documentation, GL coding and approvals prior to payment.
• Prepare and execute regular payment runs via ACH, wires, checks, and cards.
• Reconcile vendor statements monthly and resolve discrepancies.
• Set up new vendor profiles and assist with 1099 filings.
• Maintain organized records in compliance with retention policies and audits.
• Respond to payment inquiries promptly and professionally.
• Assist month-end close procedures including AP accruals and aging.
