Qualifications

• Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States.
• Bachelor's degree.
• Minimum of 5 years of account management and/or sales experience.
• Experience in some combination of Engineering, Project Management, Sales, and/or Marketing.
• Sales or business development experience working with clients in the utilities and/or energy markets.
• Ability to develop sales strategies, coordinate activities across multiple functions, and manage multiple projects.
• Understanding of customer and company organizational structures and customer relationship management.
• Willingness to travel 20% of the time
• Must be home based San Diego, California area

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement account plans and strategies for key utility customers.
• Maintain and expand relationships with strategically important accounts while managing sales targets and pipeline.
• Coordinate with internal teams to support account objectives.
• Negotiate with customers and monitor/resolve claims.
• Identify opportunities for products, systems, and services relevant to customers.
• Track market activity and respond to changing conditions.
• Ensure compliance with external and internal regulations and guidelines.
• Travel up to 20% as needed.
