Job summary

Hitachi Energy Ltd. is seeking an experienced Account Manager to support utility customers, expanding strategic relationships while managing sales targets, pipeline, and account plans.

You will coordinate with internal teams to address customer needs, negotiate deals, monitor claims, and pursue opportunities for products and services within the energy sector. The role emphasizes travel, remote work from the San Diego area, and collaboration across sales, marketing, and engineering to deliver

Qualifications

• Work authorization to work in Hitachi Energy in the United States.
• Minimum of 5 years of account management and/or sales experience.
• Experience in Engineering, Project Management, Sales, and/or Marketing.
• Sales or business development experience with clients in the utilities and/or energy markets.
• Willingness to travel 20%.
• Must be home based San Diego, California area.
• Preferred: experience with large investor-owned utility clients.
• Preferred: Power Transmission and Distribution products knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement account plans, including relationship strategies and opportunity prioritization.
• Lead customer negotiations and monitor claims.
• Sell products, solutions, and services while supporting volume, mix, and profitability targets.
