Job summary

The Rector & Visitors of the University of Virginia is seeking an experienced patient-focused service representative to coordinate scheduling, registration and check-out across multiple clinics. You will serve patients, families and referring providers, ensuring timely access with accurate records and privacy.

You will use the EMR system to load demographics, verify insurance, attach referrals, and resolve scheduling conflicts.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant scheduling/registration experience.
• Ability to maintain patient privacy and protect PHI.

Responsibilities

• Schedule multi-specialty and multi-disciplinary appointments accurately within defined timeframes.
• Register patients, collect payments and provide receipts.
• Verify demographics and insurance information for each appointment and load into scheduling system.
• Communicate with patients in their preferred language and professional manner.
• Resolve scheduling conflicts and coordinate with care team to optimize patient experience.
