Job summary

GlobalFoundries is hiring a Process Technician for its Malta Fab 8 site, a 300mm leading-edge semiconductor manufacturing facility. You will monitor, sustain and improve workstation performance, collaborating with production and equipment teams to keep processes running at peak efficiency in a lean environment.

You will communicate updates to Lead Tech or Engineer, help implement procedures, and participate in continuous improvement while adhering to safety and cleanroom requirements.

Qualifications

• High School Degree (or equivalent) is required.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• Intermediate Excel and Outlook skills are required.
• Able to work in cleanroom environment with proper attire.
• Capable of sitting for extended 12-hour shifts.
• Able to lift up to 20 lbs and move material as needed.
• Willing to work 3–4 day alternating weeks (day/night).
• Minimal travel required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, control, and test equipment and product for manufacturing readiness.
• Follow detailed instructions and procedures to complete tasks.
• Troubleshoot equipment interruptions and process/system errors.
• Review SPC charts and react to out-of-control conditions.
• Document events and communicate shift pass downs.
• Develop and update operating procedures; participate in training.
• Engage in continuous improvement projects and skill development.
• Use factory systems and software; work both independently and with teams.
