Job summary

GlobalFoundries is seeking a Maintenance Technician at the Malta site, Fab 8, a 24/7 300mm facility. The role involves monitoring, sustaining, and improving semiconductor equipment and processes, partnering with production teams and area engineers.

You will troubleshoot, perform preventive maintenance, and communicate status to leads and engineers. Candidates should have a High School Diploma or equivalent and 2+ years in electrical or mechanical work, or a related technical degree.

Qualifications

• Ability to follow detailed instructions and procedures.
• Work safely in line with FAB8 EHS&S policies.
• Communicate equipment status clearly to leads/engineers.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on assigned tool sets.
• Monitor equipment performance and readiness for manufacturing.
• Document events and pass downs; communicate shifts effectively.
• Use mechanical, electronic and PC/software skills to troubleshoot equipment.
