Job summary

GlobalFoundries is hiring a Maintenance Technician for the Malta Fab 8 site. The role focuses on monitoring, sustaining, and improving 300mm equipment and processes in a 24/7 manufacturing environment.

You will troubleshoot, perform preventive and corrective maintenance, and communicate status updates to engineers and leads. Ideal candidates bring high school education with technical experience (2-year degree or 4 years relevant work), the ability to read schematics, and a willingness to work

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma (or equivalent)
• 2-year technical degree, 2 years military experience, or 4 years of relevant experience
• Ability to read and interpret schematics/blueprints/electrical diagrams
• Willingness to work any shift (3-4 days alternating weeks)
• Cleanroom environment experience per semiconductor protocol/requirements

Responsibilities

• Monitor, sustain, and improve equipment and processes in assigned area.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on tools.
• Communicate equipment status updates to Lead Tech or Engineer.
• Ensure safe operation in line with EHS&S policies.
