Job summary

GlobalFoundries is seeking a Maintenance Technician for its Malta site Fab 8, a 24/7 300mm facility. You will monitor, sustain, and improve equipment and processes, performing preventive and corrective maintenance on tool sets while coordinating with production teams and area engineers.

Essential skills include following detailed procedures, safe work practices in FAB8 EHS&S, and effective communication. A strong baseline in electrical/mechanical maintenance and willingness to work alternating

Qualifications

• High School Degree or equivalent required.
• 2-year technical degree or 4 years of relevant experience preferred.
• Experience in electrical or mechanical maintenance in a manufacturing setting is desirable.
• Ability to read schematics/blueprints and work in a cleanroom environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on semiconductor equipment.
• Monitor equipment performance, schedule tasks, and document activities.
• Communicate status updates to Lead Tech/Engineer and shifts.
• Work safely in a cleanroom per semiconductor protocol and PPE requirements.
