GlobalFoundries is seeking a Maintenance Technician for its Malta Fab8 300mm facility to sustain a 24/7 operation. You will monitor equipment, perform preventive and corrective maintenance, and troubleshoot using mechanical, electrical and PC/software skills.

Work with production teams and area engineers to ensure smooth operations. Candidates must be able to lift 50 pounds, work in a cleanroom, and be flexible to alternate shift schedules while maintaining strict safety and semiconductor

Qualifications

• Education: High School Degree (or equivalent).
• Experience: Electrical or mechanical, one of: 2-year technical degree; 2 years of relevant military experience; 4 years of relevant experience (automotive repair, HVAC, etc).
• Travel: Minimal travel.
• Language: English (Written & Verbal).
• Basic reading and writing comprehension.
• Basic computer navigation: Windows, Outlook.
• Cleanroom environment exposure per semiconductor protocol/requirements.
• Able to work in a standing position for extended 12-hour shift.
• Able to lift equipment/tools >50lbs (two-person lift as needed).
• Flexible to work 3-4 day alternating weeks (day or night).

Responsabilités

• Monitor equipment performance and schedule maintenance.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on tool sets.
• Troubleshoot equipment using mechanical, electronic and PC/software skills.
• Communicate status updates to Lead Tech or Engineer.
• Ensure manufacturing readiness by testing equipment.
• Document events and complete shift pass downs.
• Follow EHS&S policies and safety procedures.
