Job summary

GlobalFoundries is seeking a Maintenance Technician for Malta Fab 8, a 24/7 300mm facility. You will monitor, sustain, and improve equipment, perform preventive/corrective maintenance, and troubleshoot using mechanical, electrical, and PC/software skills.

You will communicate status updates to lead technicians and engineers and ensure cleanroom safety protocols. The role requires standing for long shifts, heavy lifting, and willingness to work alternating night shifts.

Qualifications

• Electrical or mechanical experience required.
• Ability to read schematics/electrical diagrams.
• Experience with preventive and corrective maintenance in a cleanroom.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on semiconductor equipment.
• Monitor equipment and test readiness for manufacturing.
• Communicate update status to Lead Tech/Engineer and perform shift handoffs.
• Maintain safety and environmental policies and procedures.
