Job summary

Lam Research in Albuquerque is seeking a Field Service Engineer to support on-site installation, maintenance, and repair of Lam’s semiconductor capital equipment. You will be on the front lines with customers, ensuring uptime and operational excellence of complex systems.

Travel frequently—domestically and internationally—perform diagnostics, share knowledge, and mentor junior engineers while coordinating with cross-functional teams to deliver effective solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical, Engineering or related field.
• Experience in installation, maintenance, repair, or troubleshooting of semiconductor capital equipment.
• Proficiency in interpreting electrical and mechanical schematics, diagrams, and operation manuals.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality on-site repair, maintenance service, and installation/relocation start-up services of Lam’s complex systems at customer sites.
• Perform diagnostics, troubleshoot, and isolate issues to component level; take corrective actions to minimize downtime.
• Keep up to date on semiconductor capital equipment and Lam products through learning and certification.
• Assist in complex field modifications and updates, maintaining records and coordinating activities between Lam and customer.
• Serve as a subject matter expert, delivering exceptional customer satisfaction.
• Troubleshoot and create customer response action plans to support customer needs.
• Discuss opportunities and challenges with customer to increase trust.
• Provide technical instruction and mentoring other junior engineers.
