Job summary

Lam Research in Manassas, VA seeks a Field Service Engineer to join our Customer Support team. You will perform on-site repair, maintenance, installation and relocation start-up services for Lam's semiconductor systems at customer sites, ensuring uptime and operational excellence.

You will diagnose issues, interpret schematics, stay current with Lam products, document activities, and represent Lam professionally to customers while traveling domestically and internationally, sometimes working

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Engineering, or related field; 2+ years experience or advanced degree with no experience.
Ability to interpret electrical and mechanical schematics, diagrams and operation manuals.
Willingness to travel domestically and internationally; flexibility for shifts.

Responsibilities

Provide quality on-site repair, maintenance, and installation/relocation start-up services for Lam’s systems at customer sites.
Diagnose issues, perform troubleshooting, conduct diagnostics, and take corrective actions to minimize downtime.
Keep up-to-date on semiconductor capital equipment and Lam products through training and certification.
Maintain records and reports to coordinate activities between Lam and the customer.
Represent Lam to customers, delivering exceptional customer satisfaction.
Discuss opportunities and challenges with customers to increase trust.
Update customers on tool status as needed.
