Job summary

Lam Research in the United States seeks a Field Service Engineer to install, service, and repair Lam's advanced semiconductor equipment at customer sites. You will diagnose issues, perform on-site maintenance, and coordinate with cross-functional teams to minimize downtime.

Travel domestically and internationally is required; the role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and customer satisfaction as you support lifecycle solutions for critical equipment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Engineering, or related field with 5+ years experience, or a Master's with 3+ years.
• Experience in installation, maintenance, repair, or troubleshooting of semiconductor capital equipment.
• Ability to interpret electrical and mechanical schematics and operation manuals.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally; flexible to varied shifts including overtime.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality on-site repair, maintenance service, and complete installation/relocation start-up services of Lam's complex systems at customer sites.
• Perform analytical problem-solving, troubleshooting, diagnostics, and isolate issues to the component level.
• Keep up to date on semiconductor capital equipment and Lam products through learning and certification.
• Assist in complex field modifications and updates, maintaining records and coordinating activities between Lam and the customer.
• Serve as a subject matter expert, representing Lam to customers and delivering exceptional satisfaction.
• Troubleshoot and create customer response action plans to support customer needs.
• Provide technical instruction and mentoring for junior engineers.
