Job summary

Lam Research seeks a Field Service Engineer to deliver installation, repair, and maintenance for semiconductor equipment at customer sites in Taylor, Texas. You will troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve issues, ensuring equipment operates at peak performance while maintaining thorough service records and customer communication.

The role requires the ability to interpret schematics, travel as needed, and stay current with Lam products through ongoing training and certifications.

Qualifications

• Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Engineering, or related field with 2+ years of experience; or an advanced degree without experience; or equivalent work experience.
• Proficiency in interpreting electrical and mechanical schematics, diagrams, and operation manuals.
• Able to work in a clean room environment with PPE.
• Frequent bending, reaching, and standing for extended periods.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally; shift flexibility.
• Graduate eligible role.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality on-site repair, maintenance service, and complete installation/relocation start-up services of Lam’s systems at customer sites.
• Perform troubleshooting, diagnostics, and corrective actions to minimize downtime.
• Keep up to date on semiconductor capital equipment and Lam products through training and certification.
• Maintain records and reports to coordinate activities between Lam and the customer.
• Serve as a subject matter expert representing Lam to customers and delivering exceptional satisfaction.
