Job summary

Lam Research is seeking a Field Service Engineer to perform on-site repair, installation, and maintenance of semiconductor equipment at customer sites. You will troubleshoot complex electro-mechanical systems, analyze issues, and coordinate with customers to minimize downtime.

You will travel domestically and internationally, work in clean rooms with PPE, and maintain thorough service records. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Engineering, or related field with 2+ years of experience or an advanced degree without experience.
• Proficiency in interpreting electrical and mechanical schematics, diagrams, and operation manuals.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally and work in clean room environments with PPE.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site repair, maintenance service, and install/relocation start-up services of Lam’s systems at customer sites.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and isolate issues to reduce downtime and equipment malfunctions.
• Maintain records and coordinate activities between Lam and customers.
• Serve as a subject matter expert and communicate effectively with customers to ensure satisfaction.
