Job summary

Construction Material Testing is seeking seller-doer engineers who are licensed Professional Engineers and comfortable pitching testing programs in a contractor's office as well as reviewing compaction reports or geotechnical letters.

You will develop and maintain a book of clients for materials testing, special inspection, and geotechnical services, scope and price proposals, negotiate terms, and convert opportunities into signed work.

Qualifications

• Active PE license in the posting state or able to obtain it by comity within 90 days.
• 6+ years in construction materials testing, geotechnical engineering, or special inspection with client-facing responsibility.
• Proven ability to bring in work or a credible plan to do so.
• Comfortable pricing, negotiating, and saying no to a bad contract.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a book of clients for materials testing, special inspection, and geotechnical services.
• Scope, price, and write proposals; negotiate terms; convert opportunities into signed work.
• Serve as engineer of record on projects you win: review data, seal reports/letters, coordinate with lab staff.
• Represent the company at owner meetings, pre-construction meetings, and industry events.
