Job summary

CLA Meridian Capital in Seattle, WA seeks an Investment Banking Associate to join our growing team. You will provide transaction execution assistance, financial modeling, and research support for M&A engagements, primarily sell-side, while coordinating deliverables with junior staff.

You will identify buyers, analyze investments, and prepare client-ready materials. Strong communication and leadership abilities are essential to advance client engagements and development of junior resources.

Qualifications

• 2 year relevant industry experience in investment banking required.
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, Economics, Business Management, and/or Accounting or related required (combination of education and experience may be considered a degree equivalent)
• Series 63 license and 79 (required to obtain within 6 months of hire date)
• Proficiency with financial modeling, client presentations, and valuation analyses. Expertise in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Adobe, Pitchbook, and AI prompts and agents.

Responsibilities

• Sell-Side M&A transaction analysis and documentation: Researches and prepares complex financial models and M&A process documents including pitchbooks, CIMS, and marketing documents.
• Buyer Identification: Conducts research to identify buyers for sell-side clients.
• Buy Side Execution: Assesses companies as investments for buyer clients by examining financial engagements and related valuations.
• Client Support: Acts as a point of contact for clients throughout engagements.
• Communication skills: Must have strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively prepare documents and interface with senior and junior team members.
• Leadership skills: Participates in the recruitment, development, and training of junior resources.
• Project Management: Responsible for coordinating time-bound deliverables from the junior team to ensure timelines are met.
