Job summary

CLA Meridian Capital, a premier middle-market investment bank, seeks an Investment Banking Associate to join the Seattle, WA team. You will assist in M&A transactions, research, and analytical support to drive sell-side engagements and other corporate finance projects.

The role requires 2 years in investment banking, a finance-related degree, and Series 63/79 licenses (to be obtained within 6 months). Strong modeling, Excel and PowerPoint skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 2 years of relevant investment banking experience.
• Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, business management, or accounting.
• Series 63 license and 79 license to obtain within 6 months of hire date.

Responsibilities

• Sell-Side M&A analysis and documentation: researching and preparing complex financial models and M&A documents; prepare pitchbooks, CIMs, and marketing documents; review deliverables for accuracy; support in PowerPoint presentations.
• Buyer identification: research buyers for sell-side clients and track deal-related information.
• Buy-side execution: assess companies and valuations to support acquisition decisions.
• Client support: act as point of contact and help pitch to clients and coordinate transaction execution.
• Communication: strong written and verbal skills to interface with team members and clients.
• Leadership: participate in recruitment, development, and training of junior resources.
• Project management: coordinate timely delivery of work from junior staff.
