Job summary

Vylor, Inc. in Hermiston, OR, is seeking a Production Technician to support seed production on-site. You will operate process equipment, follow Quality Plan Work Instructions, and contribute to safety and efficiency.

This role involves data collection for improvements, preventive maintenance support, warehousing tasks, and collaboration with field teams during planting and harvest seasons. Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States and lift up to 60 lbs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent.
• Willingness to obtain GED within one year is required.
• Experience with safety policies and production environments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate process equipment following safety policies.
• Follow Quality Plan Work Instructions and requirements.
• Collect and record data for continuous improvement and production records.
• Support preventive maintenance and general repair efforts.
• Lead or support site safety programs.
• Assist warehousing activities including forklift operation.
• Use automation and computerized systems (HMI, computers, tablets) for tasks.
• Potentially perform field management activities with growers/contractors.
• Assist harvest activities: preparation, seed sampling, truck unloading.
• Perform inventory management, shipping, receiving, and seed pooling during spring.
• Support field team with roguing, inspections, data collection, yield estimates, and moisture sampling.
