Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Security Operator to be the first point of contact at our facilities, delivering courteous security and information while upholding access control protocols. You will support employees, contractors, and visitors, and coordinate with the Protective Operations Center during incidents.

Responsibilities include tracking events, escort duties, and preparing clear incident reports. The role may vary by campus and requires readiness for extended standing and flexible schedules, ITAR

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency certificate required.
• 3+ years in customer service or facility security.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Experience navigating complex support needs and cross-functional relationships.
• Excellent communication and de-escalation abilities.
• Prior military, law enforcement, or security experience preferred.
• First Aid/CPR/AED certifications preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Track special events and visits at facilities.
• Provide high-quality customer service to employees, contractors and visitors.
• Enforce access control, escort, and tour protocols.
• Coordinate with Security leadership and SPOC for incidents or emergencies.
• Assist emergency responders and monitor site surveillance.
• Prepare written incident reports and report maintenance issues.
• Build relationships with other SpaceX teams and landlords as needed.
• Duties may vary by campus, including standing post, escort, and tours.

Education

High school diploma or equivalency certificate

Bachelor’s degree

Ability to navigate complex support needs and build relationships with internal stakeholders

Strong customer service and relationship/team-building skills

Exceptional communication skills (oral and written)

De-escalation of disputes/conflicts

Prior military, law enforcement, or security experience

Active First Aid/CPR/AED certifications

MS Windows / Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
