Job summary

Convergint is seeking a full-time Security Technician to join our culture of service. You will install, program, start-up, certify, and train customers on security, fire alarm, life safety, and building automation systems on assigned projects.

You’ll work with a collaborative team, applying basic blueprints and manuals, performing routine testing and startup, and coordinating with project managers to ensure on-time, high-quality delivery. Valid driver’s license required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1-3 years field service experience preferred.
• Willing to learn fire alarm/electronic security systems.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally.

Responsibilities

• Install, program, test, repair, and service security, fire alarm, life safety, and building automation systems on assigned projects.
• Prepare and interpret basic blueprints, schematics, manuals, and wiring diagrams for installation procedures.
• Operate systems to demonstrate equipment, perform startup, and analyze performance to identify malfunctions.
• Coordinate with project managers and engineering personnel to resolve issues and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Provide customer training and complete close-out documentation.
