Job summary

Convergint Technologies, LLC is seeking a full-time Security Technician to install, program, startup, certify, and train customers on security and life-safety systems across projects of varying complexity. You will be part of a team that supports growth and delivers world-class service to clients and communities.

The ideal candidate has strong technical skills in security systems, can read blueprints, troubleshoot, and communicate effectively with customers and colleagues.

Qualifications

• Must have strong customer service orientation and ability to work under pressure.
• Solid technical experience with fire alarm and/or electronic security systems.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
• Self-motivated with minimal supervision.
• Ability to read blueprints/drawings and interpret manuals.
• Strong communication skills with clients and team members.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record; local travel required.

Responsibilities

• Install, program, startup, certify, and train on security and life-safety systems.
• Read blueprints and schematics to determine installation procedures.
• Operate and test systems; document performance and malfunctions.
• Provide on-site customer support and guidance; escalate complex issues.
• Collaborate with Project/Operations managers to ensure timely project delivery.
• Mentor less experienced staff and supervise testing or tuning when needed.
• Perform other duties as required.
