Job summary

Convergint is seeking a full-time Security Technician in Rapid City, SD. The role involves installing, programming, starting up, certifying, and training customers on security and life safety systems on projects of varying complexity.

The candidate will work within a dynamic team and contribute to Convergint's culture of exceptional service. You will read schematics, troubleshoot equipment, and perform startup and certification tests while delivering high-quality customer support.

Responsibilities

• Installs, programs, tests and services security systems and equipment.
• Reads blueprints, schematics and diagrams to determine installation procedures.
• Operates systems to demonstrate equipment, performs startup and commissioning.
• Provides customer training and technical support while maintaining high satisfaction.
• Communicates effectively with project teams and customers to resolve issues.
• Travels locally to job sites; minimal overnight travel may be required.
• Maintenance and troubleshooting of fire alarm and electronic security systems.
