Job summary

Convergint is seeking a full-time Security Technician to install, program, startup, certify, and train customers on security and life-safety systems. You will work on projects of varying complexity and collaborate with project teams to ensure high customer satisfaction.

The role emphasizes hands-on technical work, on-site execution, and ongoing support, with opportunities to grow as Convergint grows.

Qualifications

• Education: High School/GED or equivalent experience.
• Minimum Experience: 3-5 years relevant.
• Certifications: Product-specific and industry certifications may be required.

Responsibilities

• Installs, programs, tests, repairs, and services security, fire alarm, life safety, and building automation systems.
• Reads blueprints, schematics, manuals, and wiring diagrams to install and maintain equipment.
• Demonstrates systems, conducts startup, certification testing, and customer training.
• Collaborates with engineering and project teams to resolve issues and improve processes.
• Mentors less experienced staff and supports on-site project coordination.
