Job summary

Convergint is looking for a full-time Security Technician to install, program, system start-up/check-out, certify, and train customers on security and related building systems across varying project sizes.

You will read blueprints, troubleshoot, and support customer satisfaction while collaborating with project managers. A valid driver’s license and local travel are required; certifications in Lenel/Genetec are a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; valid driver's license.
• Experience with security, fire alarm or life safety systems preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting and customer service mindset.

Responsibilities

• Install, program, test, and service security equipment and building systems.
• Read blueprints and schematics to determine installation procedures.
• Train customers and document start-up and certification activities.
• Coordinate with project managers and support teams to ensure on-time delivery.
