Job summary

Convergint is seeking a full-time Security Technician to install, program, startup, certify and train customers on security, fire alarm and building automation systems on projects of varying complexity. You will support operations, read blueprints, and ensure high customer satisfaction.

Applicants should have a High School diploma or GED and 3–5 years of field service experience, with relevant certifications preferred. Competitive pay and benefits accompany this role.

Qualifications

• Experience with installing and servicing security, fire alarm or building automation systems.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, manuals and wiring diagrams.
• Strong customer service mindset and communication skills.
• Technical troubleshooting with standard test instruments and tools.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel locally.

Responsibilities

• Install, program, start-up, certify and train customers on security and related systems.
• Read blueprints, schematics and manuals to determine installation procedures.
• Operate and test systems, diagnose malfunctions and implement fixes.
• Document work and coordinate with project managers for on-time delivery.
• Provide customer-facing support and share knowledge with colleagues.
• Mentor less experienced staff and ensure adherence to standards.
