Job summary

Per Mar Security Services is seeking a Low Voltage Technician to install, service, and test electronic security systems across residential, commercial, and industrial environments. The role includes wiring alarm devices, testing systems, and educating customers on operation and safety.

The position emphasizes compliance with fire and electrical codes, travel as needed, and ongoing training. Starting pay ranges from $20-$35 per hour, with a monthly incentive up to 10% of annual pay and a benefits

Qualifications

Requires valid driver’s license and pre-employment background checks.
Must maintain required licenses/certifications for the security industry.
High School Diploma or GED is required for Per Mar Security Services positions.
Must be able to travel as needed.
Strong mathematical skills including algebra and geometry.

Responsibilities

Install and wire specified alarm system devices.
Test and verify that all systems and devices installed function properly and per manufacturer specs.
Use multimeters for volts and ohm readings and circuit analysis.
Program alarm systems via programmer or keypad.
Explain and demonstrate to the customer how the alarm system works.
Complete proper paperwork and submit to the appropriate department daily.
Communicate with clients, co-workers and Per Mar's Central Monitoring Station.
All other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
