Job summary

Per Mar Security Services in Wisconsin seeks a Low Voltage Technician to install, service, and test electronic security systems for residential, commercial, and industrial environments. This role covers burglar and fire alarms, CCTV and access control devices.

Starting pay ranges from $20-$35 per hour based on experience, plus a monthly incentive program up to 10% of annual pay. Tool allowance, company vehicle and cell phone, and competitive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Valid driver's license and ability to pass background checks and drug tests.
• Must obtain required licenses/certifications for security work per state rules.
• Must be able to travel as needed.
• Strong math skills including algebra and geometry.
• Knowledge of fire and electrical codes for safe installations.

Responsibilities

• Install and wire alarm system devices as specified.
• Test and verify all installed systems comply with manufacturer specs.
• Use multimeters for volts and ohm readings and circuit analysis.
• Program alarms via programmer or keypad.
• Explain and demonstrate system operation to customers.
• Complete daily paperwork and submit to the appropriate department.
• Communicate with clients, coworkers and Central Monitoring Station.
• All other duties as assigned by supervisor.
