Job summary

Per Mar Security Services is seeking a Low Voltage Technician to install, service, and test electronic security systems including burglar and fire alarms, CCTV, and access control in residential, commercial, and industrial settings.

Starting pay ranges from $20-$35 per hour based on experience, with a monthly incentive program of up to 10% of annual pay. Benefits include a tool allowance, company vehicle, cell phone, and training opportunities.

Qualifications

• Must have valid driver's license.
• Must be able to obtain specified licenses/certifications to perform work in the security industry.
• High School Graduate or GED is required.
• Must be able to travel, as needed.
• Must have mathematical skills including ability to calculate figures and amounts such as interest, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume with basic algebra and geometry.
• Must have knowledge of fire and electrical codes to ensure safe installation of alarm systems.

Responsibilities

• Install and wire specified alarm system devices.
• Test and verify that all systems and devices installed function properly and according to manufacturer specifications.
• Program alarm systems via programmer or keypad.
• Explain and demonstrate to the customer how the installed alarm system works.
• Complete proper paperwork and submit to the appropriate department daily.
• Communicate with clients, co-workers and Per Mar's Central Monitoring Station.
• All other reasonable duties as assigned by the Supervisor and daily operations.
