Job summary

Per Mar Security Services is seeking a Low Voltage Technician to install, service, and test electronic security systems including burglar and fire alarms, CCTV, and access control in residential, commercial, and industrial environments. Starting pay ranges from $20-$35 per hour based on experience, with a monthly incentive program of up to 10% of annual pay.

The role requires a valid driver's license, ability to travel, and knowledge of fire and electrical codes.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver's license; must pass background checks and drug tests.
• Must be able to travel, as needed.
• Knowledge of fire and electrical codes for safe installation.
• Ability to perform basic algebra/geometry calculations.

Responsibilities

• Install and wire alarm system devices.
• Test and verify systems and devices per manufacturer specs.
• Use multimeters to take volts and OHM readings; perform circuit analysis.
• Program alarms via programmer or keypad.
• Explain system operation to customers after installation.
• Complete paperwork and submit daily to the appropriate department.
• Communicate with clients, colleagues, and Central Monitoring Station.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
