Job summary

Per Mar Security Services is seeking a Low Voltage Technician to install, service, and test electronic security systems including burglar and fire alarms, CCTV, and access control in residential, commercial, and industrial environments.

The role offers starting pay of $20–$35 per hour based on experience, plus a monthly incentive of up to 10% of annual pay, and benefits. Travel may be required, and training is provided to support your growth.

Qualifications

• Must have valid driver's license and be eligible for pre-employment background checks and drug tests.
• Must obtain specified licenses/certifications to perform work in the security industry according to state regulations.
• High School Graduate or GED is required for Per Mar Security Services positions.
• Willingness and ability to travel as needed.
• Strong math skills including calculations of interest, proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume.
• Knowledge of fire and electrical codes for safe installations.

Responsibilities

• Install and wire specified alarm system devices.
• Test and verify that all installed systems and devices function per manufacturer specifications.
• Use multimeters for volts and OHM readings and circuit analysis.
• Program alarm systems via programmer or keypad.
• Explain and demonstrate to customers how the installed system works.
• Complete proper paperwork and submit to the appropriate department daily.
• Communicate with clients, coworkers and Per Mar's Central Monitoring Station.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
