Job summary

Per Mar Security Services in Wisconsin is seeking a Low Voltage Technician to install, service, and test electronic security systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings.

The role involves wiring alarm panels, testing devices, and programming systems, with emphasis on safety and customer instruction. Starting pay is $20-$35 per hour plus a monthly incentive up to 10% of annual pay, with benefits and a company vehicle available.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license and pre-employment background checks and drug tests.
• Able to obtain required licenses/certifications to perform work in the security industry per state regulations.
• High School Diploma or GED required for Per Mar Security Services positions.
• Must be able to travel as needed.
• Strong mathematical skills including area, proportions, percentages, etc.
• Knowledge of fire and electrical codes for safe installation of alarms.
• Values important to Per Mar Security – Integrity, Communication, Excellent Service and Accountability.

Responsibilities

• Install and wire specified alarm system devices.
• Test and verify that all systems and devices installed function properly per manufacturer specifications.
• Use multimeters for volts, OHM readings, and circuit analysis.
• Program alarm systems via programmer or keypad.
• Explain and demonstrate to the customer how the specific alarm system works.
• Complete proper paperwork and submit to the appropriate department daily.
• Communicate with clients, co-workers and Per Mar's Central Monitoring Station.
• All other reasonable duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
