Job summary

Per Mar Security Services is seeking a Low Voltage Technician to install, service, and test electronic security systems including burglar and fire alarms, CCTV, and access control in residential, commercial, and industrial environments. The role requires a valid driver's license and ability to obtain required state licenses; travel as needed.

Starting pay ranges from $20-$35 per hour based on experience, with a monthly incentive program of up to 10% of annual pay.

Qualifications

• Must have valid driver's license and be able to pass background checks and drug tests.
• Must be able to obtain licenses/certifications as required by state regulations for security work.
• High School Diploma or GED required for Per Mar Security Services positions.
• Must be able to travel as needed.
• Strong mathematical skills including calculations of interest, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
• Knowledge of fire and electrical codes to ensure safe installation of alarm systems.

Responsibilities

• Install and wire specified alarm system devices.
• Test and verify that all installed systems and devices function properly according to manufacturer specs.
• Use multimeters for volts and OHM readings and circuit analysis.
• Program alarm systems via programmer or keypad.
• Explain and demonstrate to customers how the alarm system works.
• Complete proper paperwork daily and submit to the appropriate department.
• Communicate with clients, co-workers, and Per Mar's Central Monitoring Station.
• All other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
