Job summary

Tech Systems Inc. (TSi) is seeking a Field Service Technician to repair, maintain, and install security systems including access control, video, intrusion, and alarm systems.

This role requires traveling within the assigned area and adhering to safety policies while providing exceptional customer service. Responsibilities include responding to service calls promptly, installing systems per standards, reading blueprints, and communicating progress to the Customer Service team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• At least two years of experience in commercial security systems installation or service.
• Networking skills and 1-year experience programming access and video systems.
• Possess factory or internal security system certifications to work independently.
• Basic computer skills including MS Word, Excel, Outlook; Smartsheet familiarity.
• Excellent customer service with a sense of urgency.
• Strong multitasking, planning, and organizational abilities.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Respond to service calls within the assigned area and restore system functionality quickly.
• Install systems according to company standards.
• Read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
• Follow company policies and procedures in all tasks.
• Identify revisions, upgrades, and new installs independently.
• Update tickets and communicate status with Customer Service Representatives.
• Accurately account for company inventory and resources.
• Perform preventive maintenance inspections as per policy.
