Job summary

Tech Systems Inc. (TSi) is seeking a Field Service Technician to repair, maintain, and install security systems at client sites in Indiana. Responsibilities include installs, preventive maintenance, and service calls, with emphasis on access control, video security, intrusion, and intercom systems.

Strong project multitasking and communication skills are essential. Applicants must have a high school diploma, 2+ years in commercial security, networking skills, and IP/system IT know-how.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• At least two years' prior work experience in commercial security systems installation or service.
• Networking skills and 1 year experience programming access and video systems.
• Possess minimum factory/internal security system certifications to work independently.
• Basic computer skills including MS Word, Excel, Outlook; Smartsheet and IT knowledge for IP systems.
• Excellent customer service, urgency, and the ability to manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Respond to service calls within assigned area and restore systems to full functionality.
• Install systems per Tech Systems Installation Standards.
• Read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
• Update tickets in service and project tracking system and communicate with customer service.
• Manage company inventory and resources in possession.
• Perform preventive maintenance inspections according to policy.
• Assist with other technical support issues as needed.
• Attend to duties assigned by Regional Manager or executive staff.
