Job summary

Tech Systems Inc. (TSi) is seeking a Field Service Technician to repair, maintain, and install security systems across assigned sites.

You will work on access control, video security, intrusion, alarm, and related systems, ensuring rapid response and full functionality. Responsibilities include reading blueprints, following installation standards, coordinating with Customer Service, managing inventory, performing preventive maintenance, and supporting regional staff as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• At least two years prior work experience in commercial security systems installation or service.
• Must have networking skills and 1-year experience programming access and video systems.
• Minimum factory or internal security system certifications to work independently.
• Basic computer skills including MS Word, Excel, Outlook; Smartsheet; understanding of IP systems.
• Excellent customer service, urgency in addressing needs, and strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Responds to service calls within assigned area with goal of restoring systems.
• Properly installs systems according to installation standards.
• Reads and interprets blueprints and schematics.
• Communicates status and progress to Customer Service; updates tickets.
• Accounts for company inventory and resources in possession.
• Performs preventive maintenance inspections per policy.
• Assists with other technical support issues as needed.
• Works with Regional Manager or executives as assigned.
