Job summary

Tech Systems Inc. (TSi) is seeking a Field Service Technician to repair, maintain, and install security systems across access control, video, intrusion, and intercom platforms in the Myrtle Beach area.

The role requires two years of experience in commercial security systems, networking basics, and programming of access/video systems, with strong customer service and multitasking abilities. Expect travel to client sites and compliance with safety standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• At least 2 years of experience in commercial security systems installation or service.
• Must have networking skills and 1 year experience programming access and video systems.
• Possess minimum factory/internal security system certifications to work independently.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook; Smartsheet and IT/IP best practices.

Responsibilities

• Responds to service calls within the assigned area and aims to restore systems to full functionality.
• Installs systems according to Tech Systems Installation Standards.
• Reads and interprets blueprints and schematics.
• Maintains adherence to company policies and procedures.
• Identifies revisions, upgrades, and independent installs.
• Communicates status and updates tickets in tracking systems.
• Accurately accounts for company inventory and resources.
• Performs Preventive Maintenance inspections.
• Supports other technical issues as needed.
• Follows directions from Regional Manager or executive staff.
