Job summary

Tech Systems Inc. (TSi) is seeking a Field Service Technician to repair, maintain, and install security systems within a designated area, including access control, video security, intrusion, and intercom solutions.

You will respond to service calls, install systems per installation standards, read blueprints, and ensure safe, compliant work practices while coordinating with customers and internal teams. A valid driver’s license and security-system experience are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least two years of experience in commercial security systems installation or service.
• Networking skills and 1 year programming access and video systems.
• Minimum factory/internal security certifications to work independently.
• Basic computer skills including MS Word, Excel and Outlook; Smartsheet; IP systems.
• Excellent customer service with a sense of urgency.
• Ability to manage multiple projects; strong problem solving.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Respond to service calls within the assigned area to restore system functionality.
• Properly install systems according to Tech Systems Installation Standards.
• Read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
• Follow policies and procedures; ensure safe, compliant work.
• Identify revisions, upgrades, and installs independently.
• Communicate with Customer Service regarding status; update tickets.
• Accurately account for company inventory and resources.
• Perform preventive maintenance inspections per policy.
• Assist with other technical support issues as needed.
• Attend to duties assigned by Regional Manager or executive staff.
