Job summary

Tech Systems Inc. (TSi) seeks a Field Service Technician to repair, maintain, and install security systems at client sites in the Dallas area, covering access control, video security, intrusion, alarm, infant protection, and intercom systems.

This role requires blueprint literacy, adherence to installation standards, and the ability to perform preventive maintenance while coordinating with Customer Service. A valid driver’s license and safe work practices are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Two years of experience in commercial security systems installation or service.
• Networking skills and 1-year experience programming access and video systems.
• Minimum factory/internal security system certifications to work independently.
• Basic computer skills: MS Word, Excel, Outlook; Smartsheet; IP systems understanding.
• Excellent customer service, urgency, and multitasking abilities.

Responsibilities

• Responds to service calls within assigned area within guaranteed response times and aims to restore systems to full functionality.
• Properly installs systems according to Tech Systems Installation Standards.
• Reads and interprets blueprints and schematics.
• Follows policies and procedures precisely.
• Identifies revisions, upgrades, and performs installs independently.
• Communicates with Customer Service Representative and updates tickets in tracking system.
• Accounts for company inventory and resources in their possession.
• Performs Preventive Maintenance inspections per policy.
• Assists with other technical support issues as needed.
• Attends to other duties assigned by Regional Manager or executives.
