Job summary

Tech Systems Inc. (TSi) is seeking a Field Service Technician responsible for repairing, maintaining, and installing security systems across our Miami region.

You will handle access control, video security, intrusion and related technologies, serving client sites and ensuring systems operate at full functionality. The role requires 2+ years in commercial security installations or service, networking skills, and the ability to read blueprints.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years experience in commercial security systems installation or service.
• Networking skills and 1 year experience programming access and video systems.
• Minimum factory/internal certifications to work independently.
• Good computer skills including MS Word, Excel, Outlook; Smartsheet and IT IP systems knowledge.
• Excellent customer service and ability to manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Responds to all service calls within assigned area with guaranteed response times and aims to restore systems to full functionality.
• Installs systems according to installation standards.
• Reads and interprets blueprints and schematics.
• Ensures tasks comply with company policies and procedures.
• Identifies revisions, upgrades, and performs installs independently.
• Updates tickets in service/project tracking system and communicates status to Customer Service.
• Manages inventory and resources in possession.
• Performs preventive maintenance inspections per policy.
• Assists with other technical support issues as needed.
• Fulfills duties assigned by Regional Manager or executive staff.
